Paradise Press – Grapefruit Cocktail Perfection

If this is your cocktail craving, I have the drink for you.  Provided, of course, that you aren’t allergic to grapefruit.

Here is my take on a recipe kindly provided by the bar staff at Land Ocean in Roseville, California.  An excellent summer cocktail, you can certainly enjoy this year-round at your discretion.  The above mentioned “light, refreshing” quality makes it an excellent drink for nearly any occasion.

So, other than grapefruit, what the heck is in this concoction…?

I do have a diminutive shopping list for you, but once you acquire everything, the drink is simple to construct and easy to quaff.  Here we go…

·         1 ½ oz. Vodka (good quality, please)
·         2 dashes Grapefruit bitters
·         Squeeze of fresh grapefruit juice
·         Splash of soda (Sprite or 7-up)
·         SanPellegrino Pompelmo

Cut the grapefruit in eighths.  In a rocks glass over ice, combine juice from 1/8 grapefruit along with vodka, bitters and soda splash.  Top with SanPellegrino and stir.
