NIZUC Resort and Spa - New in Cancun

 

 

Awarded by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the best new hotels of 2014, NIZUC Resort and Spa provides a top shelf destination for Mayan-style relaxation. 

Just south of town and only 15 minutes from the Cancun airport, NIZUC is tucked away on the Punta Nizuc, giving it a somewhat secluded feel from the local hustle and bustle.  The resort has a very modern design character, with the Mayan theme present throughout.  With an almost Zen like esthetic, the property lends itself toward a relaxed and warm vibe.  The leaning is toward the adult set, although an effort is made for family friendliness, with the Winik’s Kids Club and Kids Pool.   

Accommodations include 274 suites and villas arranged on the property.  The featured Ocean Suites include 44 suites with 950 square feet of living space and stunning ocean views.  Other suite categories include private plunge pools and grow in size up to 1,770 square feet, depending on category.  Four Villas are also available, ranging in size from 2,430 to 5,500 square feet of private luxury living quarters.

Amenities at the resort include six restaurants with cuisines including Mexican, Peruvian, Italian and Asian.  The 30,000 square foot spa facility includes 10 indoor/outdoor treatment rooms, as well as full hydrotherapy areas.  For the get up and go type, tennis courts, kayaks and paddleboards are all on site and golf is nearby at the TPC Cancun.  Along with the various pools, two secluded white sand beaches provide plenty of sun worshiping opportunities.

In sum, NIZUC is a well thought-out property with first rate accommodations, excellent service and proximity to all things Cancun without feeling like you are trapped in the middle of it all.  An excellent choice for a Mexican getaway..!
