CA Capital Airshow 2026 - F4U Corsair

 

One of my favorite planes from my youth: check out the F4U Corsair at the CA Capital Airshow 2026. Instantly recognizable by its inverted gull wings, the Corsair was powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine. This beast propelled the fighter to speeds over 450 mph. With a dominant 11:1 kill ratio in the Pacific Theater in WWII, the Japanese nicknamed it "Whistling Death".
